What does it mean to be strong?
We’ve always said that physical strength is a game changer for women. When you focus your workouts on physical strength first, everything else you want from your training efforts will come to you in the process.
But true strength is so much more than your physical appearance. It’s about resilience, confidence, and stepping into your ultimate power.
The fact is; being physically strong as a woman is beneficial in more ways than most think.
But I Don’t Want To Get Muscular
Just for the duration of this article, please take your attention off of your physical appearance.
Building muscle is a choice, nobody ever achieved a muscular physique by accident. Women also don’t have enough naturally occurring testosterone to build muscle at the same rate as men.
And not to put anyone on blast, but some of the more muscular women you see on the bodybuilding stage are most likely not “natural”. See: Anabolic Steroids In Female Bodybuilding - An Untold Story.
Different Methods For Different Outcomes
What so many women fail to understand about weightlifting is that there are multiple different lifting sports, and multiple different ways that you can train, that will lead to different outcomes.
Don’t just assume that lifting weights leads everyone to the same results.
The approach to training for mass is different to the method used to build strength, which is also different to the method used to burn body fat.
Once you understand how to train for the outcome you want, you are 100% in charge of how far you take it.
That’s what we teach women; how to lift on their own terms.
Our small team has a collective 20 years of lifting experience, and between us; we’ve tried it all over the years.
What’s more, we have also helped over 6000 women worldwide train for the results they want.

The Power of Strength: More Than Just Working Out
The real purpose of this article is to go beyond the basics of just working out.
Because when all is said and done, the physical results you want from training will only ever come to you if you stay in the process consistently enough, over an extended period of time.
If you put the effort in, you will get the result.
You can’t fail, the only reason people think they failed is because they didn’t stay in the game long enough, or, they applied the wrong method for their desired outcome.
But the thing is, when you switch your focus to empowering yourself with physical strength first, you give yourself the confidence, mental resilience and emotional strength to step outside of your comfort zone.
And that’s where all the magic happens—outside of your comfort zone.
Focus on physical strength first and you will see that you are capable of more than you ever thought possible.
Stronger at the Core: Strong Woman, Strong Life
What we’re talking about here is how you show up in this world. Women have been on the back foot since the beginning of time, and so many of us are breaking free through strength training.
You will never be able to control what goes on outside of you, but when you master what is going on inside of you, you take your power back.
Now you’re standing tall and taking up space without apology, you’re setting boundaries and enforcing them with confidence in your life.
You start to handle life’s challenges with resilience and pure grit.
And you start to feel more in control of your overall health and wellbeing.
Stronger at the core isn’t just about having strong abs—it’s about having the inner strength to stand firm in who you are.
Ready To Thrive?
Strength training is for everyone, there is no age limit, no gender restriction, and no physical requirement.
Start where you are now and do what you can.
Absolute-absolute beginners
If you’ve never done any strength training before, start with simple bodyweight exercises; squats, lunges, press-ups (against a wall or on your knees if you can’t do a full press-up). Perform planks, wall sits and basic stretches to start conditioning your body for more.
Ready to lift?
If you’re ready to lift, start by learning key compound movements like; squats, deadlifts, bench press, overhead press & bent over rows, with a barbell.
The above exercises are the foundation of any good weightlifting workout plan.
