Body Composition

Volume training helps to fast track building a foundation of muscle which in turn alters your body composition. Over time, this starts to impact your BMR, which is your basal metabolic rate, i.e. the amount of calories your body burns at rest. This then impacts your TDEE, which is your total daily energy expenditure, i.e. the amount of calories your body burns through your daily activities and workouts.

Strength

Volume training is a commonly used method to boost physical strength in a relatively short amount of time. This training method is intense, but in short bursts it is second to none in terms of rapid strength results.

You can’t perform with maximum strength if you’re not sufficiently fuelling your body with enough quality proteins, fats and carbohydrates. What you eat is really important in terms of your performance and recovery when you are volume training.
